Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there!
But before we go to brunch, a few serious moments –
We are joined by intelligence strategist Dan Trimble to talk about why when we – as civilians – and our government talks about “critical infrastructure” nothing is more important than hardening our electric grid against hackers and state actors. Without electric power our entire economy, social order, governmental structures and national security would be crippled – not for moments but potentially for weeks or longer.
This scenario is not probable today, but it is possible.
The more you know, the more you can help yourself stay safe and be better prepared to evaluate proposed “critical infrastructure” spending plans and public and private utility regulation.
Without electricity – there is no purpose in spending money on transportation, the focus of current infrastructure spending proposals in Congress.
